GA4 REPORTS
So, You’re Not Loving Google Analytics 4?
Can you believe that it’s been two years since Google mothballed Universal Analytics and replaced it with GA4?
Time flies but it sure doesn’t feel that way when you have to spend time in the clunky GA4 interface trying to figure out how to add AI as a source or figuring out how to dig into your referrals. It’s all very well for the data nerds who tell you that the information is all still there and that in fact GA4 gives you enhanced measurement capabilities. They’re having fun juggling metrics when all you want is a straightforward automated report. Come back Universal Analytics, all is forgiven, amiright?
If you’re frustrated, your data isn’t where you can find it, and you don’t have the time to figure it out… you are not alone. Many people have found the transition to GA4 reports challenging to navigate. Our SEO clients’ feedback is that they find the GA4 dashboard and reports confusing and lacking data compared to the familiarity of Universal Analytics.
Just a few of the G-rated comments we have heard:
“… it’s so clunky!”
“… where are my view reports?”
“… why is it so complicated?”
Even the highly-respected digital marketing website Search Engine Land devoted a whole article to people’s rants about GA4. The title of the article hints to its tone: 10 Things We Hate About GA4. Here is one of the quotes from that post:
“It is the Windows Vista of Google Analytics, and all the cognoscenti are afraid to say publicly that it is garbage. But everyone knows it is garbage.”
Yikes!
The KISS Principle
Believe it or not, some data jockeys out there are totally loving the new ways that data can be sliced and diced within GA4, and admittedly, we’ve warmed up to the new digs. However, unless you are some type of data-savant living in the dashboard, chances are that you are not enjoying the overly complex and non-intuitive experience of the GA4 interface — and like some of our clients, you may even be considering looking for an alternative to GA4 altogether.
We get it; you’re using that data to make better digital decisions. It has to make better sense.
But before you go to the extreme of ditching this FREE tool, let us help you wrangle your traffic stats back into a usable format that lets you quickly see and take action on those key metrics. The data is still mostly there, but it’s been reformatted in ways you likely didn’t expect. We can help.
We will strip away a lot of the extraneous data and get you back to the basics. And we will work with you to identify and highlight the metrics that matter. All in one simple report sent to you monthly.

Website Performance Reports
Using your website’s current tracking snippets, we will create a 5 page report that covers key performance metrics. Here is what you can expect:
Pages:
Which pages on your site are being visited, and how long do visitors stay on them? How has traffic by page changed in the last month, and what effect has your marketing campaign or new content had on performance?

Organic Traffic:
As a site owner, understanding your organic traffic report provides valuable insights into your online presence. Discover which keywords and pages drive the most visitors, learn about user behavior, and identify areas for improvement. Why is this important? Those high-traffic pages should have a way to convert those visitors into customers – or maybe those pages feature a one-off topic that isn’t even in your area of expertise. That can be an issue because Google is confused as to what you do and is sending you the wrong type of traffic. Identifying these issues is critical to the effectiveness of your website.
Audience:
Who is your audience, when are they visiting your website, where do they come from, and how are they interacting with your site?
Both your geographic area and site goals can be customized.

Acquisition:
Where do your site visitors come from and how does traffic compare by key metrics and month by month? We can customize up to 5 KPIs for a quick snapshot right there on the first page of the report.
Technology:
Understanding what devices and platforms your visitors are using can be very helpful when optimizing your website. Reviewing this report lets you see and address issues such as a high bounce rate due to the site not performing well on a particular browser or resolution.

Are You Ready For Simpler Reports?
Let’s go! You are just a few simple steps away from metrics you can use. Ordering your automated GA4 Custom Report is as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Payment – The cost to customize a standard monthly report is $150 — but you have upgrade options (see below).

3. Preferences – What metrics are most important to you? We’ll ask you a few questions to identify the “conversion” metrics that are important on your website that you would like to track month-over-month.
We strive to deliver your first report within 2 weeks of receipt of your details. This will depend on if you’ve requested any custom conversion metrics and if there’s been any customization with your GA4 account.
